Monday 01-18-16 (MLK day)

It was a much warmer morning. It started out around 16 degrees at 7am. The sun kept on trying to come out all day. We were going to Keystone until my friend John called and said that the parking lots were all filled up and cars were being pushed to the outside lots. That means you need to catch a bus from the parking lot to the lifts and we didn't want to do that. We decided to go snow shoeing at the Keystone Nordic center. It wasn't crowded and because we have a season pass, it was FREE. Around 2pm, there was more sun than clouds and temps rose into the low 30s. As we returned home, we rode pass Keystone Resort and saw the crowds. We walked around a little and we saw where they measure the daily snow fall. It is measured at mid-mountain on North Peak at 11,237 feet and last night measure 6 inches of new snow. Well it is Monday and that means we need to get ready to go to the Dam Brewery for cocktails. Tomorrow will be a much better day to ski.
