Another 4 degrees
warmer at 8am - +10 degrees under cloudy skies and light snow showers in the
distance. The sun keeps peeking out and when it does, it warms up another 5
degrees. We decided on a quick trip to Keystone for a few runs and then get ready
to go to Breckenridge for the Ullr Fest at 4pm. Without the snow boarding
event, the Mountain house area is just another slow day. Once at the top of the
mountain, it was a very windy day with blowing light snow. Not sure whether the
temps ever climbed out of the teens. After a few runs, the cold got to us and
we decided to go for lunch at the restaurant at the top of the Montezuma lift.
And we got sticker shock at the prices of the food.
Soup or Chili -
starting at $13.25, Baked Potato - starting at $13.75, Asian Bowl - $17.25,
Plain Hot dog - starting at $14, add fries - $6.25, Salads starting at $10,
Slice of Pizza - starting at $11.25, Cheese Burgers - starting at $17 and Kids
Meal only $17 for Mac&Cheese or Hot dog or Chicken tenders. Can't wait to see what the prices are at the Outpost Restaurant
So you know what
we did, we went back to the condo for lunch and had grilled cheese and Tomato
soup. Will be leaving soon for the parade.
