Our final day again was only 405 miles to Dillon Colorado,
our final destination. Morning temps were in the low single digits but sunny.
As we drove the final leg thru Kansas and into
Colorado , we
entered mountain time. Crossing into Colorado ,
we started to see more snow on the ground. However, it is miles and miles of
farm land. The elevation starts to increase from 2000 feet mid way in Kansas to over 5000
feet. Again speed limits are mainly 75 MPH. A characteristic of the Colorado Rt 70 highway is the straightness of the roadway. You can see foe miles. With the hour we picked up we
arrived in Dillon around 12:30pm. Temps were at a high of 15 degrees. The
remainder of the day, we unpacked our car, when over to our friends house to
pick up a few things including our skis, went to the Super Market to buy a lot
of food an of course watch the 2 playoff games.
